Part 5 - Resentment

Nelson Mandela said it best: “Resentment is like drinking poison then hoping it will kill your enemies.” The Big Book of AA proclaims that it’s the number one offender and even fatal. In the Old Testament book of Jonah, God asks Jonah a very simple question: “Is your anger a good thing?” In my experience when we choose to hold onto resentments, we choose hell.

As a recovering addict, Sean said: “My biggest resentment was towards my parents for bringing me into this world…I was finally able to allow myself to feel the pain, then let go.”
