Week 1 - Let Your Life Speak

Aug 6, 2022

It’s not about instant results because your life is like a seed planted in the ground…and listening to your life demands patience, humility, and a deep trust. Jesus says it’s like a mustard seed that grows into a mustard tree. They’re not the prettiest trees—they’re messy and their roots are deep & tangly. Are we being called to become like…mustard trees?

Keith Hayes, Recovery Director at 5280 High School, will join me as a our Guest Storyteller. Before becoming the Recovery Director Keith was a gang member whose life was spiraling out of control due to drug & alcohol addiction. He’s been clean & sober now for 5 years, and his life is like a seed that’s grown into that mustard tree with deep roots and roots that are entangled in the lives of others. Keith’s work in the world is about serving students who struggle with substance abuse, self harm, eating disorders, and other destructive behaviors. He is helping those students to become bold, prepared, and balanced.
